Develop an Initial Plan

Once we know your staging date, we can work backwards to develop a plan for what preparations you’ll need to make and when.

You’ll need to involve key people in your planning, such as the person who runs payroll, your HR administrator and your accountant, as they’ll be carrying out some of the day-to-day activities once automatic enrolment is up and running.

As part of your preparations, you should log in to automatic enrolment registration online and start providing some of the information required as you get it. You can add information you already know, such as the employer address and your PAYE reference. When you set up your pension scheme, add the scheme information, like the employer pension scheme reference and the address. This will save time and help you avoid missing your registration deadline.
